 First of all, let us
 welcome you to
the Tabachin del Puerto.
The name for our hotel is derived from a tree which grows here in abundance and,
due to its flaming red blossoms, is called Firetree, or Tabachin in the language
of the local people (or Royal Poinciana, Flamboyan).
The Tabachin is a small Hotel, with
its 6 rooms, but this gives us the opportunity, to
attend you, our guests, with a very personal attention. When you stay in the
Tabachin, you join the family.
The location, a few steps away from famous Zicatela Beach, a renowned surf-site,
on the Pacific Coast in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, in the south of Mexico, makes
for a quiet vacation, where the most thrilling sensations are provided by nature
itself rather than by human in(ter)vention. Big hotels and noisy discotheques we
cannot offer, but if the quiet thunder of the waves on the beach nearby suits
you, you will most certainly find what you are looking for: A profoundly
relaxing vacation in a place with friendly people.
In addition to our outstanding
rooms and architecture, we also offer you a variety of
services to complement the security and the independence of our rooms.
First to be mentioned is the vegetarian restaurant,with an extensive menu of high-quality
breakfast dishes .
Then we also offer the convenience of a laundry inside of the hotel at a modest
cost, where we wash your clothing, in completion of the domestic services that
make easier your life.
The security of our place is
unparalleled, through the big portal only the guests can gain entrance, and such
people as belong to the hotel.
We have a car at your disposition, for hiri on day tours or to the airport, and you
can exchange money in the hotel.
In every room you will find a selection of books, so in the unlikely event that
there should be one rainy day in Puerto Escondido you are also prepared, or you
might as well want to watch the cable television.
We certainly try our best at the
Tabachin del Puerto, to make you forget that you are not in your usual home. As
you stay here, we will welcome you into our family and try to make your stay as
comfortable as possible!
Our 6 rooms are differentiated into
3 categories, according to their size and their equipment. They all are self-contained
units, with a kitchen and a refrigerator, and are surrounded by a balcony and
have access to an ample platform on the roof, from which you can enjoy an
excellent panoramic view while sunbathing.
In the following table you can compare the features of our rooms on a more
general basis.

** The rooms have, in addition to the air conditioning, a
ceiling fan.

Our 2 small studios feature all
the properties of our bigger rooms, only that their space is not as ample,
which makes them attractive to the budget traveler, who wants to rent a self-contained
unit with all the excellent architecture and design our bigger rooms offer,
but without the space and the ambience of the studio and the penthouses |

want to judge by the photos if, what we consider small, is already small by your
standards ;-).

Our large studio room has already the truly awesome 64m2
footprint (600 sq.ft.) of our penthouses, only its location on the first
floor does not allow it to be surrounded by a balcony. |

The photos might give you a slight idea, of how vast the
space, how tasteful the colonial architecture and how complete the furniture
is. We trust that you will very soon forget that you are renting a hotel
room here, but might rather want to consider our penthouses as your home and
your castle, which, considering the 8x8m footprint (24x24ft.) and the
surrounding balconies, is not so far off the mark. Even the antechamber of
the bathroom features a chandelier! |
